In a country like Jordan, where technology acceptance and implementation are booming, eLearning acceptance has helped to cope with the current global healthcare crisis (Covid-19). This research examines the primary factors behind eLearning acceptance among Jordanian students. Employing an experimental approach and selecting a sample of n=332 respondents, using Structural Equation Modelling to assess the proposed conceptual framework, our findings indicated that perceived ease-of-use and usefulness were the primary determinants of shaping positive behavioral intentions towards eLearning acceptance. We found a strong significant mediating role of online videos to accept eLearning during the Covid- 19 outbreak and concluded that along with the primary factors of technology and behavioral intention, online videos play a strong role in accelerating eLearning acceptance

The Corona pandemic created many challenges for all sectors. However, confronting these challenges was easy due to the availability of Information Communication Technology. ICT penetration and usage are largely facilitated especially, in the educational arenas are attaining several benefactions. In the current research, the researcher focused on the Microsoft Team application and the extent to which students accept the e-learning process through it. To achieve the research objectives, the experimental method was adopted by designing an electronic questionnaire distributed among n= 250 students from the College of Languages, University of Jordan. The researcher further executed Structural Equation Modelling for the data analysis and assessing the study model. The results revealed that usability, perceived ease of use, and usefulness, all are major factors that motivate students to use Microsoft Teams Application. As they widely depend on the Microsoft Teams application, it also helps them to continue their educational activities through digital means

The Relationship Between Media Marketing Advertising and Encouraging Jordanian Women to Conduct Early Detection of Breast Cancer

Cancer is a malignant disease, and breast cancer is classified as one of the most critical types of cancer especially for the women. Breast cancer is one of the most prevalent diseases that cause death among respect entity. However, a large proportion of them is unaware of its seriousness and the importance of early breast cancer screening. This study aims to highlight the effects of marketing ads on encouraging Jordanian women to carry out an early examination of breast cancer to attain the goal of the study, the researchers worked on comparing the results of previous studies in this field. Therefore, the results showed that marketing ads have a strong significant effect on encouraging women to early examination. Several resources were used for these marketing advertisements that educate women about early detection of breast cancer. Also, traditional media methods such as radio and television, and modern methods such as the Internet, smartphones, and social media were largely preferred. Moreover, the researchers further suggested that there should be more advertising campaigns that can enhance audience predilection concerning early detection of breast cancer. Social media marketing is an important concept and influences the behavior of individuals and the change of their habits, based on evidence and marketing campaigns that target people to raise awareness and improve the course of their behavior for the better. This study aims to demonstrate the impact of social media marketing on the behavior of Jordanian citizens in light of the events of the spread of the Corona virus, and that by relying on a study and comparison of previous scientific studies that showed that social media marketing helps in modifying behaviors through the extent of the advantage of marketing campaigns, and in light of the spread of this epidemic some habits need to be modified by the Jordanian citizen. the study recommends decision-makers in Jordan must employ social media marketing in all its dimensions to influence the behavior of the Jordanian citizen to adhere to the new instructions that limit It is dangerous to spread this deadly disease and dispense with some traditional behaviors that contradict the recommendations of the World Health Organization regarding the behavior of individuals with each other. Thus, by keeping in view the study findings, the researchers recommended more studies addressing the use of Social Media marketing to spread Health crisis awareness to increase healthy behavior and mitigate its effects

lcs4Foam -- An OpenFOAM Function Object to Compute Lagrangian Coherent Structures

To facilitate the understanding and to quantitatively assess the material transport in fluids, a modern characterisation method has emerged in fluid dynamics in the last decades footed in dynamical systems theory. It allows to examine the most influential material lines which are called Lagrangian Coherent Structures (LCS) and order the material transport into dynamically distinct regions at large scales which resist diffusion or mixing. LCS reveal the robust skeleton of material surfaces and are essential to assess material transport in time-dependent flows quantitatively. Candidates of LCS can be estimated and visualised from finite-time stretching and folding fields by calculating the Finite-Time Lyapunov Exponents (FTLE). In this contribution, we provide an OpenFOAM function object to compute FTLE during CFD simulation. This enables the OpenFOAM community to assess the geometry of the material transport in any flow quantitatively on-the-fly using principally any OpenFOAM flow solver

Why New Media app during the Healthcare Crisis? WhatsApp Based Study

    Get PDF
WhatsApp is one of the most popular mobile applications providing instant messaging and ease of access. It uses web-based systems to send and receive texts, calls, and videos and even offers video chat. However, during the current healthcare crisis, WhatsApp's role is comparatively more prominent and needs more consideration. In this context, we conducted this research to examine the factors motivating students to rely more on WhatsApp during the Covid-19 pandemic. Based on the Uses and Gratifications Approach, we adopted a cross-sectional design and gathered data from university students in Islamabad, Pakistan. Findings from n= 302 university-level students affirmed communication (p≥ .000), learning (p≥ .002), Teamwork (p≥ .041), and information sharing (p≥ .000) as the motivating factors behind increased WhatsApp usage (p≥ .011) during the healthcare crisis. Similarly, path analysis results also validated a strong correlation between the variables, further affirming the strength of the proposed conceptual framework. Thus, WhatsApp not only provided ease of communication during Covid-19 but also helped sustain educational activities. Here we recommend more studies to examine other different factors, especially personality factors that can affect one's WhatsApp usage

The Influence of Trust, Security and Reliability of Multimedia Payment on the Adoption of EPS in Libya

Despite the vital contribution of the growth EPS globally in economic, Libya intervals clearly behind most developing countries in MENA. This paper explored and investigated a number of technical factors effecting the successful adoption of EPS and their impact on each other in Libya. It offers a unique insight into how the organisational and customers perceive the technical factors effecting the adoption of EPS by multimedia. Based on the grounded theory (Straussian approach) and through using semi-structured interview approach, the study indicated that respondents perceived technical factors as the important factors influencing the EPS adoption in Libya by Multimedia Payment. Suggestions and recommendations regarding encouraging were also provided, as well as the use of promotional and media means through multimedia to motivate users to adopt it

multiRegionFoam -- A Unified Multiphysics Framework for Multi-Region Coupled Continuum-Physical Problems

This paper presents a unified framework, called multiRegionFoam, for solving multiphysics problems of the multi-region coupling type within OpenFOAM (FOAM-extend). This framework is intended to supersede the existing solver with the same name. The design of the new framework is modular, allowing users to assemble a multiphysics problem region-by-region and coupling conditions interface-by-interface. The present approach allows users to choose between deploying either monolithic or partitioned interface coupling for each individual transport equation. The formulation of boundary conditions is generalised in the sense that their implementation is based on the mathematical jump/transmission conditions in the most general form for tensors of any rank. The present contribution focuses on the underlying mathematical model for these types of multiphysics problems, as well as on the software design and resulting code structure that enable a flexible and modular approach. Finally, deployment for different multi-region coupling cases is demonstrated, including conjugate heat, multiphase flows and fuel-cells
